A quiet accomplishment

This past weekend we crept past another little life milestone, a rather unobtrusive marker in the road...and that would be our 2nd anniversary. I use the word "unobtrusive" for comparison. Our 1st year of married life reads like a whirlwind checklist...immigration complete with paralegals, interviews, and our lives on paper, check...move once for me, twice for Andrew..check...buy first home...check. Andrew eventually caves into my whining about wanting a dog...check...Spend a night with a family member in ER who eventually has surgery...check.

The second year has been a more settled existence for us. There's not a long list of accomplishments per se but the act of daily trying to live a balanced life as individuals and as a couple. We're constantly working on the ever-challenging thing called "communication", being in tune and supportive of each other's dreams and holding each other accountable... We're far from perfect and quite a ways from what we'd like to be...but we've got each other!

It's hard to believe 2 years have passed...but (now here's the mushy part) I'm just as in love with him as I ever was...and by the way, doesn't Andrew look just darling in his dress shirt?
